Capabilities

Custom MCP

Custom MCP connects an MCP server to a workspace so selected agents can use its tools during conversations.

Supported Connection Options

When adding an MCP server, provide a display name, server URL, and one of these authentication modes:

  • no authentication
  • API key
  • Bearer token

KriyaOS discovers the server's tools and stores authentication secrets in the workspace vault. Agents can be granted access to all discovered tools or only selected tools.

  1. Open Kriyas → Custom integrations and add the MCP server.
  2. Confirm tool discovery succeeds and review the discovered tools.
  3. Enable the server for an agent and choose all or selected tools.
  4. Update the agent prompt with when the tools should and should not be used.
  5. Test successful calls, missing inputs, denied actions, and tool failures.
  6. Review any MCP warnings before publishing.

Security

Treat every enabled tool as an action the agent is allowed to take. Prefer selected-tool access when the agent does not need the server's full tool set.
